Honored Teammates, Friends & Family BBQ Potluck [03/13]

We are having our biggest Potluck of the season as we celebrate the honor and memory of those who are in remission, currently battling, or have passed away from cancer – OUR HONORED TEAMMATES!!!

Please bring your family, friends, and personal honored teammates for a relaxing picnic after our morning run/walk!
Look for our TNT Purple Tent on the southside of the Aquatic Center

Your staff will be supplying the burgers, dogs, condiments, coolers and drinks! Now is the time to show off your other talent by bringing one of your homemade side dishes to share. And if you don’t cook, at least make it look homemade…wink-wink! Also, please bring chairs and blankets.

Saturday, March 13: 11:30AM to 3:30PM

Map powered by MapPress

What, a race? Anyone that wants to do this race (all are encouraged to do it!) can get more info & sign up here: http://greatraceofagoura.com/register/.

Most of your staff will be there and we hope to have a really good turn out. This is great race experience & familiarizes you with preparation and the feelings you will go through in a race situation.

If your TNT event is a 1/2 Marathon then please register for the Deena Kastor 5K, and if your event is a Full Marathon then please register for the Old Agoura 10K. On the page where you select your T-shirt size, don’t forget to select “Team in Training from the “If applicable, select school or affiliation” dropdown menu.

Watches & Other Gear

Many of you are curious about which watches we use & how to get the best deal. Please take a look at our Clothing / Shoes & Gear Page for some suggestions!

Photos!

I know many of you are anxious to get your photos so that you can use them on your fundraising webpages, or in your letters. All photos are now up :) Click here.

If you don’t have your profile pic on our Teammate gallery, let me know at practice!

Shoe Social & First Strength Training!

Thanks to all who came out to our show fitting social this week. We hoped you all had fun and feel like you are a bit better informed on the world of running accessories. Congratulations to Christine Genochio and Jacqueline Graham who both won prizes in the raffle!

We also hope all who attended our first Strength Training had a good time & a workout!

First Practice!

Map powered by MapPress

When: Sat, Feb 13th at 7:30am
Where:
AAF Rose Bowl Aquatics Center (near the flagpoles),
360 N Arroyo Blvd, Pasadena, CA 91103-3201

We’ll be meeting (rain or shine) at 7:30am SHARP! There’s plenty of parking right there in lot “i”. Please expect staff introductions and announcements prior to your 3 mile pace assessment. Stick around after your 3 miles for a shoe clinic and staff sponsored brunch!

In case you didn’t get it at Kick Off – check out our team’s training schedule.
(You should have received the password to login in your weekly email from your mentor. If you need it, please ask your mentor)

Please bring your training singlet if you got it from kickoff, if you don’t have one yet, you will be able to pick up yours on Saturday. Please put your name on it (front & back- big enough to read from a few meters away) so that we can all get to know each other fast! We will have sharpies at practice if you would rather have us write it on for you. We will also be taking photos of all the team members for our gallery so it helps to have your name on your singlet :)

You will need to wear workout clothes to practice for the pace assessment. HOWEVER, do not feel you need to go out & buy any special shoes or clothes right now. We will have shoe & apparel clinics in the first few practices to give you some pointers on how to select your gear.

Looking forward to seeing you ALL!! GO TEAM!

Why did you join Team in Training?

As we all get to know each other, this will be one of the questions you get asked the most: “Why did you join Team in Training?”. Find out why others also join and what brings you all “together”, this thread is on the LLS Official forum http://community.lls.org/message/1469#1469
