Natalie LeRaybaud
Diagnosis: Acute Lymphoma Leukemia (ALL)
Date of Diagnosis: May 9th, 2004
Natalie was diagnosed with ALL (Acute Lymphoma Leukemia) on the weekend of Mother’s day 2004. She was four and a half at the time. She underwent two and a half years of chemotherapy at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
Unfortunately, in April of 2008, she relapsed and since then, she’s been undergoing intense rounds of chemotherapy at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Natalie is scheduled for a bone marrow transplant in July 2008. She has been through a rough battle for the past four years, and she still has to fight for her life during this complex transplant procedure.
Natalie is a fun-loving, energetic, high-spirited, eight year old who adores her four year old brother Elijah and her family. She enjoys drawing, singing, and dancing. After seeing how the doctors and nurses take such good care of her at CHLA, she aspires to be a nurse or a doctor one day in order to help others feel better.
Natalie is a brave young girl who never gives up and always has a positive outlook toward her recovery. We are extremely proud of our daughter for overcoming some of life’s biggest obstacles and to do it with such grace and courage. Our family thanks you all from the bottom of our hearts for working so hard to help in the quest for finding a cure and to improve the quality of lives for these children.
